Systems

A business that runs without you
holding it together.

I'm a systems engineer by trade. I help small businesses replace repeated admin, workarounds and guesswork with simple systems that run every day without anyone watching them.

What I help with.

Systems thinking applied to the everyday running of a small business.

Process mapping

How work really flows today, where it gets stuck, and a cleaner way to do it that your team will actually follow.

Automation

Quotes, invoices, reminders, follow-ups and data entry turned into workflows that run on their own.

Reporting

One page with the numbers that matter, updated automatically instead of rebuilt in a spreadsheet each month.

Technology guidance, in plain English.

Fifteen years as an IT systems engineer means I know how technology should fit a business, and where it usually goes wrong.

Choosing software

Which tools fit how you work, what they really cost, and whether you need a new one at all.

Joining it up

Getting the tools you already pay for to share information, so nothing gets typed twice.

Planning ahead

A simple technology plan and budget that matches where the business is going, and the risks worth knowing about.

Advice and design only. I don't provide IT support, install hardware or manage networks, and I can point you to people who do.

How it works.

  1. Map

Walk through how the work gets done today.

  2. Find

The bottlenecks and repeated admin costing the most time.

  3. Build

Simple systems on the tools you already have where possible.

  4. Hand over

Documented and owned by you, with the time saved measured.

Questions.

What is a business systems consultant?

Someone who maps how work actually gets done in your business, finds the bottlenecks and repeated admin, and replaces them with simple processes, automation and reporting that run without you.

Do you provide IT support?

No. I give high-level technology guidance: what to use, how it should fit together and what to avoid. I don't fix computers, set up networks or manage IT, and I'm happy to point you to people who do.

What tools do you work with?

Whatever suits the business. Usually the booking, accounting, CRM and spreadsheet tools you already pay for, joined up properly, before adding anything new.

Will I be stuck needing you to run it?

No. Everything is documented and handed over. The point is a business that runs without me, and without you holding it together.

Want your evenings back?

Tell me where the admin piles up. Good systems also make a business worth more, which is where investment comes in.
