Investment

More than capital.
A partner with skin in the game.

Since 2016 I've invested through Aberrant Capital. I back businesses with capital, partnership and advice in exchange for equity, and I'm open to opportunities in any industry, wherever they are.

Four ways to work together.

All through Aberrant Capital, all for equity. Every opportunity is open to discussion.

Investment capital

Capital for a business with a solid core and a clear next step, in exchange for equity.

Active partnership

Equity, with me working in the business alongside you on growth and systems.

Silent partnership

Equity and capital, with you running the business day to day.

Advisory board seat

Regular, structured advice on strategy, growth and systems, in exchange for equity rather than a fee.

I invest my own capital and don't give personal financial advice. For that, please speak to a licensed financial adviser.

What I look for.

Not perfect businesses. Good ones that could be better.

  • Customers who already value what you do.
  • An owner who is open to new systems and honest numbers.
  • Room to grow with better visibility, process or technology.
  • A five-year view, toward steady cashflow or an exit.

Questions.

What kind of businesses do you invest in?

Any business, in any industry, wherever it's based. Aberrant Capital looks for a solid core that could grow or run better with good systems, and takes a long view, usually around five years, toward steady cashflow or an exit.

What's the difference between an active and a silent partnership?

In an active partnership I take equity and work in the business with you, on growth and systems. In a silent partnership I take equity and provide capital, and you keep running the business day to day.

How does an advisory board seat for equity work?

I join your advisory board and meet with you regularly to work through strategy, growth, systems and big decisions. Instead of a fee, I take an agreed equity stake.

How big does the business or investment need to be?

There's no set size. Every opportunity is open to discussion, so start with a conversation.

Is this financial advice?

No. I invest my own capital through Aberrant Capital and partner with businesses for equity. I don't give personal financial advice; please speak to a licensed adviser for that.

Looking for a partner or investor?

Conversations are confidential. Value starts with growth and systems, so we'll look at those too.
